i might rethink getting dual purpose tires, any good track tire has no place
on the highway, and good road tire gets killed on the track with all that
tread depth............while some race tires are dot rated they:
1- not designed to withstand a road hazard and might fail big time at the
worst possible moment.
2-dont heat up on the street and as such will give less than normal
responses.

getting on the track is not a cheap experience, good tires make the
experience more complete from a driving standpoint, separate wheels allow you
to use
ideal rim size and a racing rim (lighter), not suitable for street but ideal
for the track
throw 4 race wheels in the car.......if you dont have room i have seen guys
with a rack on the back of the car to carry 4 tires.. kinda like a bike rack,
it slipped into a trailer type reciever so it went on/off easy.
