VTR continues to make progress in assembling a "full team" of Vehicle
Consultants for all models. We still seek a Consultant for the Stag;
otherwise we're almost at full strength!

MARTY LODAWER of California now serves as Consultant for the
"Roadster/Renown" series of immediate post-World War II Triumphs. Marty
has been an enthusiast of these models for over 25 years and owns an 1800
Roadster. He has met and shared information and experience with numerous
owners of these cars around the country, and he has amassed "a respectable
archive of technical as well as historical data."

Marty's name was announced in TVT #64, but the "bio" was received too
late for publication at that time.

PAUL R. BARTON of New York is the new Consultant for the "pre-
1940" cars. His work experience includes almost 20 years in the automotive
field as well as multiple ASE and Ford Motor Company certification. His
Triumph experience includes a frame-up restoration of a 1929 Super Seven
and a 1938 Dolomite 1.5 litre Sports Saloon, and he has attended Pre-1940
Club meets in England. Paul's collection of reference material and
worldwide contacts will be invaluable to VTR members seeking help with
these rare and beautiful prewar cars.

If you're from the Northwest, or if you make a habit of reading the
inside front cover of "The Vintage Triumph," you'll recognize the name of TOM
WADDELL of Washington State. Already VTR's Northwestern Chapter
Coordinator, Tom assumes the additional role of Vehicle Consultant for the
TR250. Tom has owned CD397 for 17 years, restoring it twice during that
period. His car has received 14 first place awards, including one at the
VTR National in Seattle in 1993. He has already assisted TR250 owners as
far away as Tennessee and looks forward to continuing to help owners with
questions or research.

Robert Yokley has resigned as the 2000 Consultant. However, he
has recommended, and we have accepted, JOE EARNEST of Georgia as
the new 2000 Consultant. As it happens, Joe bought Dr. Yokley's
2000 to add to his stable of Triumphs, which also includes a
TR250 and a Herald 1200 saloon. Remember, this 2000 is the
bigger, six-cylinder "Michelotti" sedan imported to the U.S. for
only two years -- 1966-67 -- and is not to be confused with
those post-World War II models of razor-edge saloon and "dickey-
seat" roadster. Of course, the two model ranges are probably
about equal in scarcity in this country!

Again, anyone wishing to volunteer for the position of Vehicle
Consultant for the Stag is urged to contact Glenn Danford (VP)
<britbits@ionet.net> or me.
