[Fot] Cleaining oil lines, and Spitfire Oil pump specs Questions

An accusump is not some marvel of modern engineering. It is mearly a cylinder with a sliding piston in it. A rebuild consists of 3 o-rings and 2 circlips if you have that type.

Even if I had a custom tool to remove the large circlips at each end, the cost of just a seal kit is not much less than having the factory do a professional rebuild. You will likely have to replace the seals as a precautionary measure anyhow since they have been cut. They (Moroso for me) will also run a pressure test on the gauge and valve assembly. Other manufacturers should have the same service.

I’m considering mineral spirits as a final cleaning. They have been gravity draining for a couple weeks hanging upside down. I also have a new oil cooler since that was probably beyond cleaning effectively.
