In regards to security and liability, has anyone checked into our liability
as organizers if a non-participant is injured or their car damaged by a
participant during the tour. Forgive me if I am repeating a concern that has
already been addressed.

What's everybody's take on security at tour stops?

Reading the website again, I see we guarantee some level of security
on the tour. Given that each participant selects their own hotel and
restaurant,
I don't see much hope of satisfying that guarantee! We don't get additional
security at our events now, like the XKs Unlimited Open House, we just let
everyone deal with their own -- the Jaguars in the hotel lot are not
molested.
Insurance covers losses.

I can see some questionable sites -- maybe San Francisco in my case -- could
require more. What will you all do, hire guards? What is our liability in
case
of loss by participants? Should we set up an emergency aid team for the
event? This will all cost money. I was hoping for a tour of many people
going
on a long drive -- on their own, but together.

Did we discuss this before? I forget.

Hello Hudson !

Regarding the numbers at Tour start and end, there was a bit of discussion
on this in the past day or so. Numbers I will expect will be reflected
mostly in local participation, but I also think the start and end of Tour
events will attract quite a few extra provided we get our publicity machine
pumped up. Exact numbers ... tough to say at this point.

Looking at the Festival of Exotic Cars link, it looks like they are planning
to have Jaguar as the featured marque in 2005, but do not have a marque for
2004. Any chance of getting them to move that up to 2004 as a tie in to our
event?

I'll update the route maps on the webpage this weekend per your note. Any
thoughts on end-of-tour route yet?

I've been thinking about "The Tour Torch" since we met. Maybe we can hit up
Jaguar North America for one of those six foot leapers they have in front of
their dealerships ;o) ... well maybe not. But they might have something a
tad smaller we can use. I think we're building up to a formal contact with
them soon, so this could go on the agenda. I'm posting this note to the
JONAT list (hope you don't mind), so perhaps there are other ideas out there
for a "Torch"

I look forward to your comments on the press release.

Hello Bob,
I am so sorry that I have been out of touch that last few weeks. Have been
keeping up with the email conversations and want to take time to bring you
up to date.

PRESS RELEASE
Got the press release and have turned it over to my agencies PR department.
I will forward their draft to you by the middle of next week.

TOUR START
Participants that know or are thinking of they of coming to Florida for the
start of the tour contact me. I am still planning to coordinate the start to
the tour with the Festival of Exotic Cars, http://www.tscevents.com/ in Mt.
Dora Florida, which is about 40 min NW of Orlando. Follow the link for a
background on the event and accommodations.

ROUTE
Bill Borrusch has driven the Route from Central Florida up to Pensacola. At
this time we are recommending that the tour take highway 441 out of Mt. Dora
till it intersects highway 44 in Leesburg. Continue east on 44 till
intersecting highway 19/98 at Crystal River. Head North on 19/98, at
Tennille the highway becomes 19/27 and takes you right into Tallahassee.
According to MapQuest the distance will be approx 233 miles. From
Tallahassee I recommend taking interstate 10 to Pensacola, though you do
have the option of taking highway 20. Do not recommend getting near the
beach, traffic is very heavy that time of year.

TOUR END
Again if I can get an estimate of those that are planning to be at the tour
end, it will help in finding a location.

THE TOURCH
Does anybody out there have a spare Leaper or Growler that can be used in
the construction of the touch, if so please contact me and I will send you
my address. I will take care of the cost of the torch construction at this
end.

That is all I have at this time.
