It's fifty miles off our projected route, but the San Luis Valley in
southern Colorado has lots to offer:  Cattle mutilations, UFO sightings,
Black Helicopters, secret underground bases, crystal skulls, ant people,
spectacular meteorological phenomena, and America's answer to the Sahara
desert, the Great Sand Dunes National Monument.
AND the US Military won't shoot at you if you go looking!
Even pre-Columbian Native American legends  speak of weirdnesses in the
area.
That's the good news.  The bad news is that it's the straightest, most
boring drive in the state.
