[Shop-talk] Need help with dead 2000 GMC 1500 (5.8 Vortec) (couple of dusies!)

Eric,

Have you checked for any voltage at the fuel pump.  Most of the ECUs provide
a pulse of at least 2 sec when you first turn on the ign. 
switch.  This is to help get
the pressure in the fuel line up.

If you aren't getting that pulse and or have no power to the pump 
when the ign is
in run, then you might want to check for fuses and relays that are blown or not
working.  Hopefully you won't need to dismantle the bed to check the fuses and
relays.
