[Shotimes] what about a 540?

I'm not even sure what "typical" SHO maintenance costs are!!

For my '89, I never got an extended warranty, and after a new clutch at 32K
(about 14 months after purchase), I went through a "hell period" from around
50-60K when the car was 2-3 years old. Must have cost me around $3-4,000 (in
1991-1992 dollars). After that, for the next 4 years and 75K miles, the
costs were very low......I finally replaced a battery at 100K because I
thought I should, and the same with the struts.

Over the total 10 years of ownership, the total operating costs weren't bad
(not counting the performance stuff, as well as the new paint,  chrome
wheels, etc), but the expenses came in big chunks when they did hit.
