[Shotimes] Camry in Winston Cup 2007

I'm not old enough to remember :-) but I have seen clips of those early
races, and the cars at certain races throughout the years.

Remember when Trans Am allowed 2.5L cars to enter also? Do you know which
car made the SCCA institute a rule limiting the age of the cars competing?
It was the Tyco Triumph Vitesse. It was only imported to the US in 1962,
and was raced successfully, beating newer BMW 2002's and DAtsun 510's.
Rules changes throughout the year made the Vitesse uncompetitive, and
eventually a rule was instated that cars could not be more than 5 years old,
the Vitesse was around 10 at the time.

I once had a chance to buy the Tyco Vitesse back in '92 or '93 while I was
at Road Atlanta. The guy was asking $10k for it at the time, but for a
Triumph enthusiast (I drove up in my Spitfire) he would let it go for
$7500!! I still kick myself in the @$$ for not buying it!!
