I agree with Adam. Fight it. Even if you don't win, sitting back and letting 
them wrong you will eat at you. Consider getting a lawyer and letting him/her 
do the talking!! In Wisconsin, you can take anything you're charged with to a 
jury trial. While that is, in my opinion, extreme for a traffic offense, it 
is our right and something to consider.
The traffic offenses I've contested, speeding, improper stop, speeding, have 
all been reduced to a benign charge, i.e. speeding became malfunctioning 
speedo. They still got the cash from me, but the points were dropped and it 
was a non-moving violation that the insurance company was not informed of.
