Spent a little time playing with the SHO after work yesterday and finally
determined why the battery light came on during the highway and quick torque
takeoffs. The culprit ended up being the rear connector on the altenator
being loose. It's a single pin spade connector, witht a W - BK wire. I
looked at the electrical schematics that I have in my book (not the best)
and it seems like it goes to the coil field. Anyone know more exactly what
the function of this wire is? It seems everytime it got a little loose the
light came on and when it seats correctly the light goes off. BTW both with
the light on and off the battery was still charging at 14V+ so there wasn't
really an effect on charging. Thanks!
