[Shotimes] Minimum rim width for 245/45/17 tire? ('93 SHO)

Hey all,

What is the minimum rim width and offset range for me to be able to run some 
245/45/17 tires on my '93 SHO? I'm looking at some budget priced 7.5" to 8.0" 
width rims for my car, but I do not know if 245/45 would fit on a 7.5 with 
the proper offset without rubbing anything on my car.

I'd like to upsize from the OE 16" slicers to 17", so I can run 245/45/17 
tires which are what I have on my other car ('99 Mustang Cobra). I figured it 
would be a bit easier on me to buy new tires just for one car than to buy two 
different sizes for two cars. Like when the tires are at half thread on my 
Cobra, I could transfer them to the SHO, while I go new on the Cobra.

Please help me with what you know. (John H?)
