Gen 1 cars often malfunction without leaving a code, due to the first-generation
code storing system of the PCM. Many times a CKP (crank sensor) will fail without
storing a code. Chances are that is the problem.
Are your battery cables original? Have the battery terminal ends been replaced?
When the car quit, was the CE light as bright as the others with the key on? Or was
it a bit dimmer? If so, you might have a problem getting power to the CCRM and PCM.
George and the Lowrider, and the Plus from Hell....an excellent teacher in PCM power
problems.
