[Shotimes] New Chip available...just maybe

The LPM cannot change profiles, if I understand everything I read correctly
you do not want a lot of timing advance when the NOS hits, the LPM program
has to be a compromise. I need a chip to run the Ford 80MAF & Stage 1
cams. If I change to a Pro-flow MAF or recal the Ford 80MAF I still need a
chip to optimize events for the cams.

I have to seriously wonder about the program used in the Diablosport if it
was correct. I have had nothing but very good results with Ted's programs
for the LPM, he understands the SHO EEC & tranny control. He has done
several programs fro my 95 MTX and my previous 94 ATX, all which worked as
they should in motor and tranny performance.

A chip itself is nothing without the proper programming, that is why I
stated in my original message if sending the binary file of what I have
today would help in getting a proper Diablosport program.

I'm not advocating using Diablosport chip, it saw the ad and am just
providing info to the list. Years ago when I lived in Indy (97), I saw a
Doug Lewis built 94 ATX with stage 2 cams and with all other mods that could
be done at the time that ran high 13's at IRP with nitrous. He had a super
chip module that allowed him to change the profiles on the fly for when he
hit the nitrous. I thought that was perfect...

Thanks for the feedback! After our company get finished with our move next
week I'll call Diablosport to get a feel about what they know and do for a
SHO.

It was for my 94 ATX SHO. It didn't even firm up the shift points, much
less give any extra power. Stick with the LPM, or as Dave mentioned, the
nitrous kits really don't need any EEC help because they physically
manipulate the fuel pressure regulator, and if the fuel jet you have is
makes it too lean, you just need a different jet (about $3) to richen the
mixture.

And what kind of limitations do you think the LPM has? It can control
nearly every aspect of the EEC, just like Spiro's SCTuner. In fact, the
program that controls the LPM and the SCTuner are nearly identical, other
than the graphical user interfaces.

If you're still not convinced, and you want to waste some time and money
trying the Diablosport chip, you can get it for a discount from the Taurus
Car Club of America www.tauruscarclub.com Look around for Bob Riley, he
sells them to TCCA members for a discounted price.
