[Shotimes] hard start

Ok I've been having a problem with my car recently. It seems at random
times my car is having a problems starting. You can crank and crank and it
won't start. I just checked the fuel pressure the other day when it
happened. Fuel pressure guage on, turn the key to start, you can hear the
fuel pump priming, and the pressure was still at 0. Key to off, prime fuel
pump, pressure zero. One more time, pump primes and pressure goes to 38. I
figure out it should start right up now. Crank and crank no start. So I
floor the gas and start it, after a few seconds it starts right up. Fuel
pressure kicks up to 40 for a second and then settles to 30 while running.
Anyone have any ideas on this one? I don't see how fuel could be getting
past the injectors without a reading on the gauge, unless maybe they're
leaking? Is that possible? Thanks for any help!!!
