Just FWIW, the blend door replacement in my '95 (covered under my
aftermarket warranty) cost about $750.

You probably want to disconnect the battery anyway before you tear all that
stuff apart.

Subject: [Shotimes] Gen3 A/C Blend Door Access

My '95 SHO's heater blend door is on the blink, stuck hot. I get the code 02
when I test the climate control. I have a 1991 SHO factory manual set (was
cheap) and it looks like I may be able get access to the wiring and blend
door actuator by removing the black instrument panel (arching) cover, the
control box, and the glove box. The blend door stuff seems to sit atop the
heater box. But I fear that I may need to remove the whole dashboard to
really get access. That is a huge (2-man) chore.

Has anyone had experience around the auto A/C controls and/or the HVAC air
direction box that can give me some clues? I read that the blend door
feedback has to get recalibrated when you install a new one, by disconneting
the battery. I may try that.

Thanks in advance,
Richard ('95 MTX SHO, '97 Supercharged Camry, '88 323 GTX)
