That's what I'm talking about. 

You paid $900 for yours? WOW! Mine was $3800 four years ago, 53k miles.
Needed a clutch, and although it ran really well, a bunch of age related 
upgrades. I've got over $7400 in it, (after purchase) but darn near 
everythings been re-done. (very little by me, if I didn't live in NYC I 
coulda saved about $2800-3000 in labor charges)
Like you I'm confident in and happy with it, and I figure I've got a lotta 
miles of happy motoring as those initial costs keep amortizing. By the time I 
need to do the whole cycle of repairs again, I may have gotten the monthly 
cost down to 1/2 or less than the current $148.
