Of course everything you said is correct, but it is going beyond the 
original subject.  That subject being was there ever a 300HP yamahammer?  I 
would expect it to peak at high rpm, and use an aggressive cam profile such 
that it would not be very flexible on the street.

The weights for the cars in the C&D article were given as 2730 lb for the 
Neon and 2754 lb for the RSX.
