[Shotimes] offset

I have had a set of 16 x 7 inch rims that I have Kuhmo 225 x 50 victor racer autocross tires

When i had my Sr 72 aligned at the dealership .. i notice under compression of the rear left tire its barely touching the inner fender well. Have noticed were its cutting into the outer tire wall ( barely .. just barely )

How does one measure offset of a rim ?  I have never had a rim or tire of these dimensions rub on the inner fender lip.

Based on this .. i am not going to cut the inner fender wells at the mid point of the spot welds to eliminate any additonal rubbing.
