[Shotimes] New lister & Sticky shifter

I just purchased a 93 MTX with 117K miles.  The shifter doesn't want to go 
into gear easily and feels very mushy/sticky when shifting.  Supposedly the 
clutch was replaced at the dealership aroung 100K.  Any ideas?

I'm also doing a rear brake job this weekend (the rears are down to the 
backing plates!).  Do I need a special tool to get the pistons to retract, 
or can I use a large C-clamp like most of the other vehicles I've owned?
