Mike-
Replace both the thermostat and gauge sender. The sender is only about $8
and the thermostat $10 - $20 depending on make. On my car (which seems
pretty normal) M - A is where it usually reads, especially with the HVAC in
Auto. With the AC set to vent, it will get up to O - R before the fan kicks
on.
