I had the local Ford garage do my transmission. Total out the door was
$3000 which I thought was fairly good considering the Ford rebuild was
$2200. It had to be replaced at 140 thousand miles although the trans still
had some life left in it.

I'm at 182,000 miles on this 1994 SHO with the original engine, one rebuilt
tranny, two total rear brake replacements and one new radiator just this
week. Other than that, I replaced the cam-shaft chain tensioners at 120,000
miles. The engine is going very strong with good compression and no hint of
a knock or other problem.

Synthetic oil works again!

Oh, and one set of motor mounts.
