Ron I don't understand how extra sensitivity is not useful in real life. If
the unit picks up a signal sooner the better it is for the driver.
I've used different detectors and I have followed a couple of my friends
that have the V1. My Escort and before that a cheapo Uniden unit did alert
me but much later than the V1. Both of the V1's were mounted above the rear
view mirror and two times at night and once during the day time. I could see
the V1's lights go off well before my unit sounded. I would have been popped
because the distance to the radar wasn't there with my units. I know the V1
is a bit costly but here in Oregon so are the speeding tickets. 43 in a 35
was a $280 ticket.
Just my 2 pennies.
