Actually, I thought that my '87 SLO wagon had the best build quality and
best dealer service of any Ford product that I have ever owned.
After 5 years, it left my driveway with 242k on it (the guy that bought it
thought that it had only 142k) with $2500 in my pocket. It still looked
good inside and out. Think that the paint and carpet quality was better
then than afterward. As was general overall q.c.
The '93MTX had cheaper carpet and seat coverings and the '95 cheaper yet. A
classic example of Ford's 'cost savings'...
