You know, I have seen a connector hanging down near the master cylinder
before, and never really thought anything of it. I always figured it may
have had something to do with the EGR setup (which I don't have), and it was
hanging there when I bought it. Could this be the connector for the CELO?
Could anyone describe the connector and where exactly it connects?

My climate control has always turned on full-blast when I first start the
car. I knew it shouldn't do it, but figured it would be too much effort to
mess with it. If it has simply been disconnected this whole time, that will
just be too funny...

I have always liked that feature in my grandparents' 96 SLO, but they never
seem to realize why the blower won't turn on when the car is cold, so they
manually crank the fan speed and blow cold air. It really annoys me, and I
keep trying to explain to them that the EATC takes care of everything, and
will turn up the fan speed when the car's warm enough to produce heat, but
they still crank it up. Needless to say, when I'm driving, I tell them to
leave the heater controls alone! : )
