I have to get him to put it up first. He bought this used from a garage that
was going out of business. Actually, he bought two of them, plus lots of
other tools and stuff. Sold one lift, plans to use this one. But he's one of
those guys who "never has time" to do anything. He has a barn full of
stuff he bought. Around 8 years or so ago, he bought stuff from a body
shop that was going out of business. He got a huge compressor, paint
guns, bodyworking tools, etc. He told me he could have gotten a paint
booth, complete with ventilation system, for $100. But it was way to big
for the barn. Sheesh! You know it's bad when you have tools to make
tools. Bridgeport mill, metal lathe, etc...

Congrats on the new SHO! I didn't mean to call you a troll the other
day, I was just in my mean mode ;^)
I've always liked the white/tan combo. My '90 was the same. BTW, I got
rid of my '90 with 131k miles on it, with the original clutch!
About your buddy, the one with the lift. Any chance we could rent out
the garage/lift for a day or two? Could do clutches, rod bearings,
exhaust, SFC's, etc...
Again, good luck with the new SHO!

Well, I've found another SHO. This one's a white/tan '95 MTX. Exactly
the same as my old one but white. It's like being back home again.
*sniff* Found it in Cleveland. I'm the third owner. I have every
receipt for every repair done to the car since it's purchase. Plus I
have the original window sticker. The first owner was
very...meticulous...about the car. The second owner only had it a year.
The complete 60k was done at Performance Plus. I haven't really gone
through all the paperwork yet, but he spent $1,500 there not 2 years
ago. Lots of stuff done. Alot of scheduled service stuff too, it
seems. The '96 brake upgrade was done at FPS. I even have the reminder
card they sent him for his appoint- ment. I have lots of other receipts
for lots of other work.
It has 98k miles on it. It still has the original clutch in it, so that
will need to be replaced soon. There's no grinding or anything, it's
just getting worn out. The paint and interior are really nice. Nicer
than my old car was. So I'm pretty happy with it. And I paid less than
I got for my old car, so I have some money to put towards the clutch. I
may attempt it myself, if I can get my buddy to put the lift he has up
finally.
