[Shotimes] Crank Seal ?

Well, I'm just ordering the rear main.  Why do I need to change the carrier
gasket?  I don't plan on taking the carrier off, it won't leak if you don't
disturb it, right?  Then the pan will have to come off, just more to do.
I'm sure the rear main will come out without disturbing the carrier, just
don't see the logic behind changing the carrier gasket.
