It's a good thing they didn't make a lot of them.  That kind of thing shouldn't be forced on humanity.   :-)

As far as collectibility- rarity is a factor in collectibility.  Also desirability is a factor.  I tell my family that my gen3 SHO is more rare than Hummers, Porsche's, etc.  However it will not be worth a lot because of that, since people weren't going way out of their way to buy them new.
