Somebody else mentioned removing the manifold. Frankly if you have 2 broken
studs this would save you time in the long run. Just take the thing off and
work with it on the bench. I've done that as well.
When I drill them out I start out with small bits and slowly go to larger
ones so I don't burn up the bits. Pretty much though, from the time you
break one, cut the end off, drill it out, re-tap, and re-thread and
gathering all your needed tools in between, it's an hr of wasted time!
