[Shotimes] Cooling Issues

Mine, too. Open highway, top of the "A." Sitting in the drive thru at Taco
Bell, fan doesn't kick in until the "N" and then quits at the "O." New
thermostat, ECT, and gauge sender last fall because it was running at the
bottom of the "L" on the highway (the O-Ring on that thermostat was toast.)

Now, the fan on my 96 Windstar 3.8L runs about ALL THE TIME - 20 seconds on,
5 seconds off, something like that. The digital gauge is always at the "M"
though.

Josh my 90 does the same thing, even after I changed the sensor. I think
there is some variability in the sensor/gauges, and I quit worrying about
it. I have a digital thermometer that reads right at 212 when the fan kicks
on and that's about right. So if you don't see any other sign of
overheating, such as water spewing out into the bottle then its probably ok.
