I couldn't reply to your personal email, Jeff, so here is my response.

Sure sounds like the control module, and I would guess a SHO and SLO would
be the same, but I'm no expert mechanic, and have no idea what years would
be compatible, but I think I would try one from a 93Taurus/Sable since they
should be pretty plentiful in the boneyards.  Yes, it is one of like 4
different modules under the dash, each with its own plug to it.  My
Chilton's had a decent picture of it I think.  And do what I did, try it
before you buy it!

settings the wipers stop any ole place they choose.  No one place =
consistently.  Full on works OK.  Does this sound like the under-dash =
control box?  You said you pulled a few from a boneyard, are they wires =
attached via a plug?  Easy to get?  Finally, will the box from slos and =
Sables work?
