My friend's SHO had this same problem. He made the mistake of destroying
the rear sensors to remove them. He didn't like the cost of new ones when
he bought replacements from the dealer, so when we removed the front
knuckles to get the bearings out, we unhooked the sensors in the engine bay
and left them mounted in the knuckle. The guys at the machine shop looked
at us a little weird when we had wires hanging off the knuckles we wanted
them to press new bearings into, but the realized why we left them in there
soon enough. Even THEY couldn't get them out! : )

You're best bet is to unplug the sensors from under the rear seat like a few
others suggested if you plan on reusing the sensors and hubs. Replacements
are not cheap unless you go to the junkyard, where they might also be siezed
in if you're in the rust belt.

The sensors on my car nearly fell out! : )
