[Shotimes] More Bearing fun

Doug Lewis and I installed Mains and Rods a year ago in my '93 MTX. I
needed the rods and we decided on the mains just cause we were there! All
we did was remove one cap at a time, rolled the upper halves out and rolled
in the new ones. I have done this thousands of times on all different types
of engines and it is really simple.

kevin

why are u replacing the main bearings

Really havent followed this thread but i have pulled motors with spum rod
bearings and motors with over 200 K and the mains were in great shape.

Just curious .... and to answer your question ... if it was me doing main
bearings too ... i would pull the motor and put it on a engine stand
