Matt,

What do you use your car for? Daily driver? Weekend racer? Track? Your
choice in brakes depends on how you answer that question.

The 96 Brake upgrade is a great start. Coupled with some Carbotech pads
from Josh and some stainless steel brake lines, pedal feel is positive, and
fade is greatly reduced.

For a car that's pushed a little more, (I'll give myself a shameless plug
here) look at our (www.midwestsho.com) 13" brake upgrade. It's marginally
more expensive than the 96' Upgrade, with great pedal feel, and awesome
braking. The rotors also only weight 0.8 lbs more than the 96' Upgrade
rotors.

For a track car, check out www.tceperformance.com for some really extreme
brake kits. Todd uses the Wilwood calipers, which require a little more
maintanance, but offer a lot more performance. Couple that with lightweight
rotors and you have a winning combination.

Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.

~ Mike

> Anywho, one of the two more important upgrades that was mentioned was
brakes. I totally agree with this one. But, where do I start? I have seen
some kits to convert to the Gen III SHO brakes... Is this the way to go
(think: cost vs performance). I also checked out what SHO Shop has to offer,
but that's way out of my Brake Budget.
