I've gotten 160K miles out of a Ford rev B clutch on my 92. This also
included one thorough flogging at Road Atlanta.
It's always good to have a frame of reference when making comparisons. My
son's 95 MTX (I keep bringing this up because it has a lot of aftermarket
parts on it when I bought it in April) has a HiRevs Jr clutch. I've also
driven DonD's 91, also with the same clutch. There's no doubt these
clutches have a heavier feel to them. After a few hours of driving the
95, and then jumping into my car, the clutch in my 92 felt like a real toy
in comparison.
I've also raced some ricers recently and the clutch feels fine. Just keep
the rev limiter in place to avoid busting a PP strap.
Unless you plan to go beyond a BOS setup, there's probably little point to
upgrading. I'll leave it to someone else to comment on how much HP a
stock Ford clutch can support.
