Definitely get a Carfax.  The plates date to about 2000.  And you gotta be skeptical about the miles.

Spotted this nice '89 for sale on E-bay from N. CA.

Looks like a nice car with under 100k miles.  Interior looks 
real good.  No rust.  Needs A/C work.
