[Shotimes] lighted buttons not lit

I have always wondered that myself.  The Power button my radio has never
worked and I'm just too lazy to open it up and find out why.

My factory cd player has some buttons that are not lit up.  Before I
open it up, I just want to confirm what I surmise to be the problem.
I'm guessing there are small light bulbs in there that project through
fiber optics or "fiber optic-like devices" that light up the buttons.
I'm guessing one of the bulbs burned out.  Are they a pain in the
you-know-what to get to?  Especially if you have big ham hands?
Is the Ford dealer the only place to get replacements?
