[Shotimes] Bad looking slicers

I haven't painted the slicers, but I did have a set of race
wheels (off the Ninja Turtle cars) painted to match my '89
some years ago.

Paint shop lightly scuffed the surface, filled chips, primed
and painted with a clearcoat top finish. They looked great
till I put them in a trailer going to a race stacked on top
of each other and they shifted and rubbed the paint in a few
places. Everywhere else though, many years later, they
still look great.

I don't think he used any special paint.

Has anyone painted their slicers, or have any idea on how to restore them to a newer looking condition? Paint? any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
