Something else that just occurred to me, re: the temp gauge acting weird....

The other day, I was on the highway, driving at a constant 70 MPH, and the 
needle kept creeping closer and closer to the danger zone.  It finally 
settled on the L in normal, which was the highest I'd ever seen it.  It was 
very cold outside (subzero wind chills), and I had the heater on the 
highest fan setting.  I turned the heater fan down to low -- 1 or 2 -- and 
almost immediately, the needle on the temp gauge dropped down to around the 
O.  I then turned the heater back on high, and the needle crept up again, 
although not as fast or as far as the first time.   Don't know what this 
could mean, but I was thinking it might mean something to someone....
