Ed-
I looked at mine and didn't see a plug like you're describing. Where exactly is it, and am I correct that the connector you're describing has 3 wires in it?
On another related note, while I was looking for this connector, I found a few things that I have questions about (to the list): there's a smallish black box with a wire going in and one coming out that is velcro'd to the inside of the plastic cover over the electronics, on the passenger side. It says "Motorola Convertible Adaptor". What is this? Also, there is a loose cable with a connector like on a cable that attatches to a vcr--a wire in the center with a ferrule that screws onto a post. Where does this go to?

Subject: [Shotimes] JBL help needed!
Hi,
I have a 95 MTX with JBL. My radio was cutting out and it
seemed like a bad connection. I traced it down to the connector
in the JBL amp in the trunk. Specifically, it is in the connector
on the passenger side of the amp. I took out all of the wires
from the plastic connector and I wrote down where they went.
But when I put it back together it doesn't work. I think I may
have the main power wire (yellow) in the wrong spot. I have
a 93 SHO service manual that lists it as connector K18577-A
on page 15-00-5. This lists the wires on one side of the
connector as:
- blank
- blank
- blank
space
- Dark Blue
- Red
- Yellow
Is this correct or a 95 JBL amp as well? If someone could check I
would be deeply in their debt! I had the yellow wire in the first
blank spot.
Thanks!!!!!
