[Shotimes] First post - knackered transmission :-(

My first (origonal) transmission self-destructed @ 147,xxx (final drive gear
imploded, shot out throught transmission casing in 5 spots, unrebuildable)
superbowl weekend (how convienient) of last year. I wanted the car fixed
ASAP so instead of figuring out which would be the best route to go, my
father threw it in a shop (mind you probably the best tranny shop in the
area) and we swapped it out, with a 95 AX4S with 75,000 and a new TC. Big
mistake. Transmission worked great for about 8 months(and i took it
considerably more easy on the car than on the first tranny). And then in
august it started to slip slightly. And it just got worse. Even after i got
ahold of a D4U1 it still slipped. Now my car is next to undrivable. Dropping
the pan next week to find out what the dammage is. Not looking forward to
it.
Moral of the story: Get a freshly rebuilt, trans-go equiped (prefferably FPS
built) tranny, and save yourself the labor of having to do it a year
later...
Doc,

All Options (except a good tranny)
