I believe he was 28 when he started playing Captain Kangaroo. He was fired
twice as Klarabelle. The first time the audience complained so much, they
brought him back. The second time he lead a revolt against Buffalo Bob
with other members of the cast for more pay. Right before a show was about
to air.
