[Shotimes] Reprogram After New Battery

I do this after disconnecting the battery,
 
While the battery is disconnected turn the key to run and press the brake a  
few times [to eliminate residual electricty, some say this step is not  
necassary]
 
Turn the key back and connect the battery. Start the car, let the idle  
settle then turn on max AC, the radio, turn the wheel back and forth, open a  
window or two, anything to put a load on the alternator. After doing this for a  
minute or two, turn everything off and let the idle settle.
 
Shut 'er down
 
This works for me, try it. I'm wondering if you have, coincidentlly,  
something else going on....bad or dirty IAB maybe. The car should relearn after  a 
power stopage without doing the above.
