I was in both categories until recently. My 90 was bought off the showroom floor June 1990 and stayed with me until recently (just shy of 14 years). It had the original engine, trans., AC compr., alternator, PS pump, among others. It is still relatively close by.
Its replacement (97 SHO) has had more owners than I can count, but doesn't seem to have suffered for it.
