[Shotimes] OT: More Audio Advice Needed-Satellite Radio

You can do exactly as you said, I have none of the tail exposed and I
get perfect reception. I have also seen many people just mount the
antenna inside the car on the rear deck. They claim that they still get
good reception, if you wanted to try that route first it could save a
lot of time. The problem that I see with that method though is that the
mag mount of the antenna uses the roof of the car as an antenna as well.
You wouldn't get that benefit with having it inside.
