Actually, for the longest time, I had the antenna sitting on the front
dashboard between the two defroster vents! I got some double-sided mounting
tape and stuck that bitch right on the dash! lots and lots and lots of wires
(I had the removable unit from Kenwood for Sirius), but I only got slightly
less reception than I did with it on the roof (where it is now).
