If the IAB has failed it should idle cleanly without it. The problem is,
you'll need a manual idle adjustment, and there isn't one. You'll have to
make one. There is a screw that looks like it might adjust the idle but you
really don't want to mess with that. Do you have a feeler guage?? Put .030
or so between the throttle and the throttle stop. You need about 1500 rpm or
so. Then you can unplug the IAB. Then try different thicknesses until you
get a clean 7-900 rpm idle.
