I bought my stone stock '89 in '98 with 53,000 miles on it.
I've done normal maintainence on it since, and other than a
ShoShop billet flywheel, aluminum sfb's, Josh's reinforced
motor/trans mounts, K&N panel, 73 maf, Dynomax exhaust
and aftermarket 16" wheels, the car is still stock. It now has
73,000 mi on it, and is in unbelievably good shape.
Even if I hit a huge lottery, there'd be no reason to get rid of it.
I could see myself keeping this car for another 20 years easily.
As long as I stay on top of the maintainence/repairs the car
should hypothetically last forever. Since I'm already in my 50's,
forever might not be all that long anyway. Also putting only 4k
a year on it will no doubt help it's longevity.
So to answer the question, Me...
Bob (BB-NYC '89)
Who, besides me, will be keeping at least one SHO around indefinitely?
