Interesting comment, in that the analysis way early on by Vadim and the two
Dougs was that the ATX Y-pipe was MUCH better than the MTX y-pipe from the
factory. They were in no hurry to develop an ATX y-pipe, and IIRC the power
claims for the ATX aftermarket Y-pipe showed less of an increase than
putting a y-pipe into an MTX.

It would be hard to have a y-pipe worse than the stock MTX pipe, with the
90-degree bend into that restrictive section of pipe off the rear head!

The ATX has a very poor stock
Y-pipe design (much worse than the MTX!) and I would upgrade that and just
use the cat back Dyno max system.
