I bought his "Level 1 book" a long time ago. 

The first mod he goes through is the exhaust/cat upgrade. And he claims 35HP right there...on a stock setup.

>From 220HP to 255HP just from upgrading cat and changing pipes. No tuning. No nothing else. BAM!

The consensus seems to be that his HP gains are unrealistic.  

He may have measured the gain on a dyno. Though, in principle, that in itself doesn't make it true. Dynos can be tricky, or so I've heard.

As Ron mentioned, Borla claims 32HP from their system. Even more unlikely. Yet, they too may have measured this on an improperly operated dyno.
