[Shotimes] Pontiac unveils SHO successor?

Yours is a different situation, but the same as my wife.

He left knee was her bad one, and she was driving the 5.0 in Chicago traffic
doing home hospice care. We then got a626 with the V6 ATX. About two weeks
after getting the 626, she slipped in a patient's driveway and tore up her
left (already bad) knee. She would never have been able to drive he 5.0 home
if she still had it. She had surgery, but she will only drive the SHO MTX if
it doesn't involve traffic. She still prefers manual trannies, but it's not
practical for her.

The SMG-type trannies (manuals with electronic clutch/shifting) hold some
interest for me rather than a true automatic.

<< what is your left leg doing in bumper-to-bumper traffic anyway?>>

Well, for those of us with bad knees (especially left ones), it helps to not
have to deal with a clutch. Having had this malady for about five years, it
distressed me at first until I tried a Manumatic transmission. Some of them
work fine. I got an Acura TSX with that transmission and I'm very pleased.
I get to shift when I want and not when I don't want to. Different strokes
for different folks.

Maybe when I need to have that knee job I can once again lust after some
manual transmission, but for now, I enjoy the automatic. Old age is Hell...
